Cedric de Coning is a Research Professor at the Norwegian Institute of International Affairs (NUPI), where he co-directs the NUPI Center for UN and Global Governance. Cedric is also a Senior Advisor for ACCORD. His research and policy engagement covers the peacemaking, peacekeeping and peacebuilding spectrum as well as the climate/environment-peace nexus. He is a former South African diplomat and UN peacekeeper, and he has served in various advisory roles for the African Union and United Nations, including on the UN Secretary-General’s Advisory Board for the UN Peacebuilding Fund.
